Championship round picks

By Robert Braun

Well here it is guys, the final 4 and who would of thought we would even be talking about half of these teams by now?
Well lets get to it, here's my picks for the conference championships.

AFC Championship Game

Ravens @ Steelers

A defensive slug fest to say the least, these teams have given us two of the best match ups seen during the regular season with the Steelers edging Baltimore by a combined seven points in both contests. So many questions; can Flacco handle the newest Steel Curtain on the second biggest stage in the NFL? Will the Ravens prove to be too much for a Steelers offense that(despite vastly underachieving this season) have always seem to come through when it matters. I'm not going to try to answer any of these my prediction simply comes down to this.....

....given the heated rivalry between these two teams I don't have Pittsburgh beating Baltimore three times in one season.

Ravens 17-10

NFC Championship Game

Eagles @ Cardinals

If the AFC championship is primed to be a defensive struggle then the NFC is looking to be the opposite. The Cardinals have shocked America, their long lost defense finally joined the party in the wild card round and haven't left yet. Ask Matt Ryan, ask Jake Delhomme, every week this postseason I picked the Cards to loose and each week they've proved me wrong. In the other corner we have Donnovan McNabb and Andy Reid making only their fifth NFC championship appearance this decade(despite always being on the "hot seat" in Philly). Remember though, Mcnabb hasn't had a great game yet in the playoffs, solid but not great, and you know come the postseason he's at least good for one.

I'm going with the Eagles in whats going to be a QB duel we remember for a long time.

Eagles 35-31
