Last weeks Chargers vs Raiders game provided many interesting statistics for the Ravens. The Chargers lost several statistical battles vs a weaker opponent. Here are some:
3rd Down Conversions C- 42% R- 50%
4th Down Conversions 0 1
Total Offensive Yards 317 366
Average Offensive Yards 5.1 5.6
Rushing Yards 77 148
Sacks 1 3
Time of Possession 28:23 31:37
With LT out Michael Bennett figures to get most of the reps. However highly touted he might seem, he did not play in their season opener. Outside of Darren Sproles one kick off return for 66 yards, his best punt return was 8 yards and out of 9 running plays, his best run was 7. LT & Sproles combined for 77 yards. The Ravens allowed 29 yards rushing. This team has a knack for hurting people with a ball.
Overall this is good news for the Ravens. Phillip Rivers, not so good news. This might just become another slugfest in which the Ravens will come out on top with a better defense. Prediction: Ravens 34 Chargers 24.
